Lady Halle's Stradivarius

Wilma Neruda owned a 1706 Stradivarius violin, that belonged to the also great violinist Heinrich Wilhelm Ernst. It was given to her by the Duke of Edinburgh, and the Earls of Dudley and Hardwicke in 1876. Above is a picture of a Stradivarius.

  1. When I was in college, one of my friends was a violinist and she actually got to use a Stradivarius that had belonged to a family friend. She said it was the most amazing thing to be able to play on such an extraordinary instrument.
